PyTheis—A Python Tool for Analyzing Pump Test Data

نویسندگان

چکیده

The Theis equation is an important mathematical model used for analyzing drawdown data obtained from pumping tests to estimate aquifer parameters. Since the a nonlinear equation, complex graphical procedure employed fitting this pump test data. This method was originally proposed by in late 1930s, and since then, all groundwater textbooks have included method. Over past 90 years, every hydrologist has been trained use tedious estimating values of transmissivity (T) storage coefficient (S). Unfortunately, mechanical does not provide any intuition understanding inherent limitations manual procedure. Furthermore, it parameter error. In study, we employ public domain coding platform Python develop script, namely, PyTheis, which can be simultaneously evaluate T S values, error associated with these two We solve nine problems demonstrate robustness script. include several published case studies that real field Our show script efficiently variety problems. code also easily adapted other hydrological require curve routines.

Analyzing Tool for Radar Data

Analysis of radar data has a quite important role, not just in the work of extending the libraries, which are used in military aircrafts to discover and identify enemy radars and other similar threats. It has also an important role in the process of developing the advanced systems that discovers, identifies and distinguishes the great number of radars and similar threats in an environment. Thes...

noWorkflow: a Tool for Collecting, Analyzing, and Managing Provenance from Python Scripts

We present noWorkflow, an open-source tool that systematically and transparently collects provenance from Python scripts, including data about the script execution and how the script evolves over time. During the demo, we will show how noWorkflow collects and manages provenance, as well as how it supports the analysis of computational experiments. We will also encourage attendees to use noWorkf...

Descriptor driven concatenative synthesis tool for Python

A command-line tool and Python framework is proposed for the exploration of a new form of audio synthesis known as ‘concatenative synthesis’, a form of synthesis that uses perceptual audio analyses to arrange small segments of audio based on their characteristics. The tool is designed to synthesise representations of an input target sound using a source database of sounds. This involves the seg...

A Randomness Test for Stable Data

In this paper, we propose a new method for checking randomness of non-Gaussian stable data based on a characterization result. This method is more sensitive with respect to non-random data compared to the well-known non-parametric randomness tests.
